07/11 Training Run, 4:15 pace group

It was hot but fun.  Our first double-digit run is in the books, and it wasn't too bad at all.  Even though it was 91 degrees before the sun came up, sporadic cloud cover made the heat tolerable.  Here are the stats:

Time: 1:36:47
Distance: 10.01 miles
Average Pace: 9:40 min/mile
Calories Burned: 1412

As you can see, we're doing very well for this time of year.  Our pace is great.  It's likely that, as the heat increases and the runs get longer, it'll slow down a bit, but once cooler weather returns and we get accustomed to long runs, it will pick back up.  We're all doing very well.

Next week, we're going to run another ten miles, as we improve our endurance and get used to long distances.  Don't worry--before you know it we'll be touching the wall, and adding spurs to the trail.  For now, though, just be glad that things are going so well.
